The latest FOSE Tour started last night in the beautiful and historic city of Gdansk in northern Poland. The visit started with a tour around the city centre with local Scouts before a welcome dinner.
Friday 29th September 2023
This morning there was a bit of a change of pace to the FOSE Tour with an emotionally provocative and reflective visit to the Solidarity Centre. We were honoured to he able to have VIP access whilst the centre prepared to host Lech Walesa’s 80th birthday this evening.
Saturday 30th September 2023
Following yesterday’s meeting with the 2027 World Scout Jamboree, today, the FOSE Tour visited the site of the jamboree. Participants also had the opportunity to see some of the amazing project the Polish Scouts are seeking finding for.
Sunday 1st October 2023
The final evening of the FOSE Tour consisted the annual meeting, where we could celebrate our new Friends and the projects achieved with your donations this was followed by the Gala Dinner.
The final day was spent travelling to Sopot on the train amd visiting the beach and Pier. After which, everyone returned fir the goodbye lunch. Most participants are now travelling home fully enthused to promote the opportunity to invest in young people across East and Central Europe’s future.
As always, it was a fantastic visit, great to see existing international friends and make new friends. A huge thank you to all involved in organising the Tour.
