Annual subscriptions and support for the Ukraine appeal
Thank you for those of you who have responded to my request give your annual donation to FOSE together with a donation to assist with the Support for Scouts from Ukraine attend a summer camp this summer.
This has resulted in over 16 friends again donating £4,300 in annual donations and £1,200 towards the Ukraine appeal.
To those who kindly give their annual donation at Reunion, I will be happy to accept cash or Bank transfer.
Gilwell 2022 - September 3 & 4
Saturday 10.00am-4.00pm and Sunday 10.00am-1.00pm
We will have an Exhibitor pitch in the International Departure Lounge and welcome friends to help us in attracting new friends and inviting Leaders to take part in our activities that can be used in their group sections meeting to highlight International aspects of Scouting both here and abroad.
Please let a member of the FOSE-UK Team know if you are attending this year and if you will be assist us for hour slots on Saturday and Sunday.
We welcome you to our FOSE-UK Chat – please bring your Gilwell Reunion plastic cup that you will receive when registering. It will be on Saturday afternoon between 2pm-3pm, where you can meet friend from UK and Europe, who will bring us up to date on the support we our funding which is provided through grants from the European Scout Foundation.

We welcome the new board members and the changes they have introduced to improve the way they promote the foundation and the support they are giving to Scouting in Europe, especially the Ukraine initiatives, plus bringing their Scouts to camps in other European countries this summer.
The new management system on Webling (esf.webing.eu) has started, thanks to Thomas v/o gozilla and Martin Meier. Friends personal details are held on this secure data base in Switzerland unless you request them to be removed.
Have you visited the new European Scout Foundation Website yet? It is still in development but is a lot simpler to navigate and will soon have a lot more information. And don’t forget you can still get all your UK Friends information at fose-uk.org.uk and on our facebook page.
Summer Camp Receptions
With many international camps over the next month, there are likely to be several FOSE Receptions. If you know any Scouters on International Camps don’t forget to encourage them to attend the FOSE receptions as well.
Speakers Reception 19th Sept
You will have received an invitation to the Speakers Reception being held at the invitation of the Speaker of the Houses of Parliament on Monday 19th September from 6.00pm – 8.00pm. Please complete your application form sent with the invite so that the Speaker can issue an invitation direct to you.

Stewart Hawkins' Memorial Service
Dear Friends and Family,
Sandra, Alistair, Ben and I warmly invite you to celebrate the life of Stewart Hawkins.
The Memorial Service will take place at 1400hrs on Saturday 10 September 2022 at The Scout Association, Gilwell Park, Chingford, Essex. The attached invitation provides directions and timings.
If there is somebody you know who has not received this email and would like to come to the service, please pass the invite on to them. All I request is that everybody responds to the invite by 2 September 2022 so we know how many people to cater for on the day.
