VIRTUAL FOSE RECEPTION: Sunday 11 October 2020
You are invited to participate in our Virtual Reception for Friends of Scouting – UK and those interested in joining and supporting the work of the European Scout Foundation.
Craig Turpie, Chairperson World Scout Committee of the World Organisation of the Scout Movement, former Chairperson of the European Scout Committee and Life Friend of Scouting in Europe will welcome you to this reception.
Callum Kaye, International Commissioner for the UK will welcome friends from around Europe.
Henrik Söderman, Chairman of the European Scout Foundation will give an update on activities from Friends around Europe.
Lars Kramm, Chairperson for European Scout Committee will join us if family commitments allow, or alternatively his Vice Chair – Martin Persson will be with us.
We will then be able to see how monies raised by Friends is used to support projects in Eastern Europe and, in particular, the replacement of the roof at the Scout HQ of a group serving one of the poorest communities in Serbia.
Henrik will then present certificates to new Friends who have joined this year and those we can encourage to support us.
We will then have an Open Session for Friends to meet and exchange greetings with each other.
The invitation is extended to FOSE members around Europe and those who wish to support Scouting internationally.

Membership Renewal
As we are unable to meet in person, friends kindly have sent their annual subscriptions.
One Mike Thurston has become a life friend and we will be delighted to present him with his certificate at the virtual reception, together with Graham Haddock who joined us earlier in the year.
We hope others might join us, so please spread the message and invite them to join us. Regrettably there are still friends who have yet to send their donations that are due before the end of the financial year of the European Scout Foundation 30 September 2020.
